Mimic the Muse: Ashley Olsen

by Madeleine Borgersen

Ever since Full House Ashley (and Mary-Kate) Olsen have won our hearts. Her makeup is always a gorgeous, dewy, doe eyed look that I just love.

Mimic the Muse: Ashley Olsen

Wanting to mimic Ashley Olsen’s super bronzed up dewy glow? Here’s how!

1. Illuminate what you have

Instead of going for a full liquid foundation go for an illuminating primer and a BB or CC Cream. This will even out any skin concerns whilst still showing off your natural beauty underneath.

Keep to liquids or creams on the face using a cream blush and bronzer to contour your cheeks and add a flush of coral colour to your apples. Grab a cream illuminator and add it to the top of your cheeks, down the middle of your nose and just under the arch of your eyebrows.

2. Smoke up those eyes

Use two colours to smoke out and contour the eyelids. These could be cream eyeshadows if you want a more glam look or powders for an easier option. Take the lighter colour all across your lids and blend out with a blending brush so that there aren’t any hard lines. Then with the same brush take the darker colour and swipe this inside your crease and on the outer corner of the lid to give you more definition and smokeyness.

Add some pencil eyeliner to the top and lower lash line and apply lots of volumising mascara to amp up those eyes even more.

3. Keep those lips neutral

Keep the lips neutral and glossy with a nude lipstick with a velvet finish or apply a little gloss over a matte lippie.

Voila! Not as hard as you thought no?

  1. Yess, I was seriously hoping you would pick one of the Olsens for this weeks muse! My pinterest is looking greaaat right now! I’ve been idolising them for years, I’m quite sure Ashley Olson was the one to sell me on brown smokey eyes as opposed to the black based, as that never suited me! Gorgeous girls.

I’ve always loved how dewy and fresh the twins look – and effortless too! But bet you it took more effort to achieve that “effortless” look 😉 Great post!
