Mimic the Muse: Iggy Azalea

by Madeleine Borgersen

Iggy’s signature winged liner and candy pink lip is gorgeous. She always looks as well put together as her fast rhymes. Here’s how to rock her look the easy way!

Mimic the Muse: Iggy Azalea

We all know I’m a big Iggy Azalea fan. Her album has been on repeat in my ears all week especially Work. Her makeup is just as good.

Use a liquid illuminator with your foundation to get a super dewy, glow-from-within look a la Iggy. Mix a pea size amount with your fav foundation marvel at your new, glam complexion.

Use a brightening concealer like Rimmel’s Wake Me Up! in a ‘v’ to brighten the whole area under your eyes and really make your complexion rival Barbie’s.

Use a powder illuminator on the bridge of your nose, cheekbones and cupid’s bow (the part where your top lip dips in!) to transform your face into a human disco ball – in a good way of course!

Keep the shadows on your eyes light and neutral. Iggy goes for pink over the lid and a light brown as a contour colour in her crease.

Then grab a liquid or gel (gel’s easier to use!) and line your lash line all the way across, starting thinner and getting thicker toward the outer eye. Give your upper lashes a generous coat of mascara and leave the bottom for dead, who needs em? No but seriously, this will just give the upper eye lashes even more of an effect in contrast.

Just like the rest of her face her brows are perfection. Fill them with a powder and set with gel if you’re worried about any fly aways. Don’t have an eyebrow gel? Spray some hairspray on a little comb or a spare toothbrush and brush it on!

The candy pink lip is a must to complete this look but there are tonnes out there so take your pick. Keep it opaque (i.e. full colour, not sheer) and add a dab of gloss to the middle of your lips to give it that 3D punch!

Add a matching pink blush to your cheeks, but stick to the outside of your cheeks rather than straight on your apples, this will create a slight contour and not compete with your lip.

Wham bam, thank you Iggy! That didn’t rhyme, but you get the gist. Have a great weekend!
