Pricey vs Priceline: Toners

by Madeleine Borgersen

Toners are the underestimated step of your skincare routine. Used after your cleanser or exfoliator they clear any left over makeup, cleanser, sebum or skin cells and prepare your face for your other products.

Pricey vs Priceline: Toners

Toners also have the added bonus of tightening the appearance of pores and are the perfect makeup reviver if you’re heading out for an after-work drink. Here are some of our stand-outs!

Pricey: Kiehl’s – Damage Protecting Toning Mist – $32

The Kiehl’s range of toners often offer some antioxidant property that will help brighten, energise, protect and nourish your skin.

Applied with a spritz on the face or via a cotton pad they can be used pre or post makeup to add an extra barrier of protection.

Priceline: People for Plants – Mist Toner – $19.95

Packed not only with antioxidants but also witch hazel (my first ever toner was the good ol’ witch hazel!) and aloe vera to hydrate and sooth your freshly cleansed skin.

Perfect for sensitive skinned lasses, I love to keep a bottle in the fridge to cool down and protect my skin in the warmer months!

The Verdict:

The People for Plants offers all you need in a toner in a sweet, purse-friendly package.

With the protective ingredients of minerals and antioxidants mixed with the soothing nature of the aloe vera it’s a definite winner this week!

Do you use a toner? What’s your favourite?

I’m really liking People for Plants at the moment, the eye cream is lovely and so is their Rosehip… The toner will have to be next on my hit list. I’m a big fan of mist toners, especially when kept in the fridge during summer!
