Good Beer Week: Top Beers!

by Madeleine Borgersen

I love a good beer! To celebrate Good Beer Week 2014 I’ve decided to share with you all my top hoppy must-haves!

Good Beer Week: Top Beers!

1. Two Birds – Golden Ale

Starting with my absolute favourite it’s made by one of the former brewer’s of Little Creatures Brewery in Freemantle. Winner of countless awards it’s my pick out of the current craft beers in Aus.

2. Little Creatures – Bright Ale

My first true beer love, the Little Creatures Bright Ale. It’s gone through more dresses labels than you can poke a stick at but I won’t judge. It’s my definite grab on any Dan Murphy’s run.

3. Lord Nelson – 3 Sheets Pale Ale

One of my definite favourites is the Lord Nelson 3 Sheets! You can grab this at good bottle stores and Dan Murphy’s. I’m yet to find any beer drinker that doesn’t like it!

4. James Squire – 150 Lashes Pale Ale

I love the hint of passionfruit in this one! Super easy to come by it’s a fridge favourite!

5. Burleigh Brewing – BigHead

A carb-free wonderkid! Burleigh Brewing is the first Australian brewing company to (quite successfully might I add!) produce a zero-carb, full-flavour beer! A definite go-to for summer bbq’s!

What’s your gotta-grab beer of choice? I’m a big fan of the Pale and Golden Ale’s (as you can tell!) but do you like a darker beer or maybe even a cider?

My husband is a big fan of pale ale, I am more of a cider girl myself and have recently discovered a few that I love.

  2. Great beer picks! I’m a golden/pale ale fan too, and all of these are on high rotation in my fridge! I’m also a fan of the 4 Pines pale ale too. Deeelish!
