Bec & Bridge Debuts The New Trend in Tan

by Madeleine Borgersen

Gone are the days of topping up your tan two or three times to achieve that fresh off of a plane from Brazil hue. Today’s trend in tanning is all about that glow, achieving dimension and a healthy sheen with light, sheer layers of product.

Showcased at this week’s Bec & Bridge fashion week show, the new trend in tanning is to embrace your natural colour and show it off with a glow. Performed immaculately by skin finishing expert, Michael Brown using a wardrobe of glow-getting St Tropez products the look uses a layering technique to create dimension.

A ‘mist’ of the St Tropez Classic Formula was applied to mimic natural sunlight hitting the body with an added coat of St Tropez Luxe Dry Oil to create a stunning sheen for pops of highlight.

Wondering how to achieve this multi-dimension glow at home? Here are the fault-free steps!

  1. Exfoliate and moisturise the skin the day before to ensure a smooth, hydrated surface for an even tanning result.
  2. Apply the classic St Tropez Bronzing Mousse into the skin using the Applicator Mitt to buff in the colour completely for a zero-streak, deep and even tan.
  3. Allowing your tan to develop, sweep across some St Tropez Luxe Dry Oil down the front of your legs, across the high points of your collarbones and on the top of shoulders to create highlight and dimension.
