We’ve got the top tips and tricks and an easy how-to from Moroccan Oil and celebrity stylist Jennifer Yepez to mimic this gorgeous beachy wave do a’la Gigi Hadid at home!

“This lived-in style is the perfect accent to this look, and I love that it can last you 3 days and still look great.”

Celebrity Hair Stylist Jennifer Yepez for Moroccanoil

To get the shine, body and bounce we wanted, I began with freshly washed hair.  My two favorites are Moroccanoil Extra Volume Shampoo and Moroccanoil Weightless Hydrating Mask

Then I applied Moroccanoil Volumizing Mousse to her entire head from root-to-tip, followed by Moroccanoil Heat Styling Protection from the mid-shaft to the ends.

Next, I began to rough dry her hair in sections from the underneath to the top, only smoothing the ends. If your hair is curly, I recommend that you straighten your hair smooth from the roots to the ends.

Once hair is dry, alternate curling both small and large sections of hair between a 1″ and ¾” barrel curling iron. Switching it up allows the style to look more like real beach waves rather than a curling iron wave. Next, comb through all of the waves using a wide tooth comb.

Then I used a pearl-sized amount of Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream just on the ends.

A final mist of Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray in Medium Hold made sure her waves last through the night.

  1. Love Gigi and I can’t believe how simple those instructions sound! I love having curls in my hair but my hair is so straight and fine naturally its hard to get it to have waves rather than ringlets when I use an iron!
