When it comes to non-invasive fat removal, CoolSculpting is one of Australia’s favourites. With thousands of happy patients, CoolSculpting works by freezing fat cells, essentially killing the cell which is then naturally flushed out of the body. It is an effective and time-friendly solution to reducing those hard to budge areas of fat.
The new CoolSculpting CoolMini continues this fantastic technology with a new smaller adapter perfect for areas like the problematic double chin.
As someone that has always had a little more to love in the chin region, the announcement that the CoolMini had finally hit our shores was more than exciting, the fact that it cannot be used on pregnant women, less so. Luckily, Mum was more than willing to step in in my place to experience and see the results of the new CoolSculpting CoolMini first-hand.
Where Can You Get the CoolSculpting CoolMini Treatment?
Sydney Cosmetic Sanctuary is one of the leading locations for cosmetic procedures; from dental treatments to breast augmentations, styling workshops to injectables, the gorgeous Leichardt clinic is a go-to for any treatment you had your heart set on.
All CoolSculpting treatments are offered at Sydney Cosmetic Sanctuary with leading plastic surgeon Dr Kumar and their professional and friendly Ambassador, Ivana offering years of experience to ensure you get the best possible results.
The CoolSculpting CoolMini Treatment
An initial consult is first scheduled where you can discuss your concerns with Ivana and work out an effective treatment plan. This might include one session or multiple, depending on the size of the area. In Mum’s case, one treatment was performed.
From there, a treatment time is booked in. A regular treatment takes 1 hour but allow yourself a little extra time before and after the treatment to ask any questions you might have.
During the treatment, the treatment area is marked on to the skin with a removable ink to ensure the CoolMini adapter is placed correctly. You’re then invited to lay down and made comfortable before a protective gel is applied to the area.
The CoolSculpting CoolMini applicator is then attached to the treatment area which feels like a vacuum suction on the skin and tissue. Once a good suction is confirmed the applicator is strapped into place using soft foam restraints so you don’t have to worry about accidentally moving, or dislodging the adapter while you sit back and relax.
The treatment is then started and lasts 60 minutes. A cold sensation can be felt for approximately the first five minutes, while the area is brought down to below zero. After this, the area is numb.
Once the treatment is finished the applicator is removed and the area will resemble an ice cube, showing that the tissue has indeed been reduced down to a fat-cell-killing temperature.
This area is massaged, warming the area back to it’s normal shape. This can lead to a bit of a tingling sensation similar to pins and needles.
Some symptoms you could feel in the next days and week after treatment can include redness, swelling, tenderness to the touch and in extreme cases some nerve pain which the team at Sydney Cosmetic Sanctuary can help you alleviate.
The dead fat cells will then be processed out of the body by the liver over the next 10 – 12 weeks leaving you with up to 30% reduction in fat.
Mum received her treatment on the 22nd of July and her chin is already appearing smaller. Before and Afters will be added when available at her 10 week checkup.
