How to Perfect Your Strobing For Spring

by Madeleine Borgersen

Looking for a fresh new look for your skin and makeup routine? The newest trend in makeup application, strobing, could be just the thing!

How to Perfect Your Strobing For Spring

Gigi Hadid perfects the dewy, strobing technique.

Move over contouring, strobing is the new fussed over makeup technique taking over this Spring. Similar to highlighting, strobing is enhancing your features with a mixture of highlighting products and ditching the darker tones to counterpart this.

Perfect for those hesitant to tackle the blending involved in contouring and looks amazing on every skin tone, strobing is your skin’s new secret weapon.

Best part? If you’re a contour fan chances are you already have some great highlighting or now, strobing, products in your arsenal.

Lightly tap cream or liquid products on your skin to give a ‘your skin but better’ finish or use a fan brush to slightly dust the skin with your favourite powder product.

  1. So isn’t strobing just highlighting? Come on, I’m only just starting to accept ‘fleek’ as a word! Haha 🙂 love this look though, my LUMA Illuminating Highlighter has been getting a good workout since the warmer months!

I still haven’t got my head around ‘strobing’ yet…. Maybe it’s the weird name lol!

  3. I use the Clinique Highlight Chubby Stick when I contour and I love it – I guess strobing is faster than contouring for daily application but I think I’ll still contour for special occasions or evening outings. x

I love MAC’s Strobe Cream! It’s perfect for giving your skin a glow that doesn’t look like sweat (which is a surprisingly difficult feat).
