1. Keep a Matte Base
Adele has a full foundation that will endure any amount of stage lighting or crying (if you’ve seen her performance at the Royal Albert Hall you’ll know what I mean!)
Use a foundation with some staying power like Stila’s Stay All Day Foundation to give you a perfect canvas to build on. If you’ve got some baggage under those eyes cover them for good with a brightening concealer like Rimmel’s Wake Me Up!
2. Eyes So Sharp They Could Kill a Man
Adele might look like she’s just rocking a simple (albeit, applied to perfection!) liner but there’s a bit more going on to make her eyes really smoulder.
Using a pink shadow (The NARS eyeshadow duo in Dolomites is perfect for this look.) on a fluffy blending brush apply a dusty pink to the crease of your eye in windshield wiper movements. Follow with a brown concentrating on the outer ends of your lids (going no further in than your iris). This will create depth but also keep the inner eye light and open.
Then apply your liner (a gel eyeliner like Bobbi Brown’s would work best for this look) right across the top lid and on the outer section of your lower lash, again no further in than the start of your iris (the coloured section of your eye). Not sure how to apply gel eyeliner? We’ve got an easy how-to here.
Really vamp up the look with some false lashies. If you want more of a cat-eye effect you can trim your lashes shorter and apply only towards the end of your eye to really add some drama.
Adele’s blush beautifully contours her porcelain skin. Opt for a buildable cream blush that is going to last the day. We love the Stila colour compacts. If you only have powders then opt for a dusty rose and apply higher on the cheek almost like a contour rather than directly onto the apple.
4. Love those Lips
