The Napoleon Perdis Stroke of Genius Foundation has just launched this month after being featured on a few catwalks during the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in April.
The innovative foundation comes in a tube similar to their (much-loved!) BBB Cream, so it is light and portable. The main differences between this and their BBB are;
- It’s a foundation, therefore more coverage and more staying power. It is also less of a dewy/shiny finish, perfect for anyone worried about their skin appearing oily.
- It comes with this nifty little brush!
As soon as I saw the brush I was interested. I’ve got a few concealers with brushes, Ella Faas and By Terry are known for their in-built applicators. Although it might not do the job of your proper brush it is a great way of applying foundation on the go. I apply it all over my face and then use my warmed fingers to press it into the skin.
The coverage was described as cashmere and I’d definitely agree. It’s a gorgeous smooth satin finish with medium coverage that still let’s your skin show through (read, you won’t look like a Jersey Shore extra!)
The tube also features a cool swivel on-off switch to ensure you don’t end up with all the product in the lid if something presses against it in your handbag or, waste any product whilst using the brush.
The foundation is extremely easy to spread so a little goes a long way, I’m talking marathon long way. The amount in the photos to the left was a bit too much for my face.
It lasted perfectly all day with no setting powder and was enough coverage for me to head out with just some brows and mascara and not even any of my under eye concealer!
Velvet and bipolymer spheres act as friendly fillers to help smooth and perfect skin texture.
A definite must-have item for any gym-goers or sleep-in-ers that are time poor in the morning, it will definitely be coming with me to Melbourne next week also to cut down on luggage!
