I’ll be the first to admit that I’m an absolute lipgloss snob. There aren’t many that make my handbag. Most are too sticky (read stray hair magnets!) or sparkly.
Lipgloss is something I think you need to invest a little bit of your pay on. I’m not talking ridiculous money, but I haven’t yet found any good lasting, nourishing glosses under the $10 mark.
Here are my top two nude lipglosses I will keep going back to again and again and both only around $20!
Benefit’s Dandelion lip gloss is the counterpart to their popular blusher. It’s a gorgeous nude pink that is thick, nourishing and non sticky.
The applicator is a slanted plastic end on their squeezable tube making it a synch to apply. It’s not too glittery and not drying. The perfect go-to gloss for day to day wear.
Technically cheaper than the Benefit counterpart TheBalm’s nude lipgloss in ‘Ruby my Grapefruit’ includes their Maxi-lip formula to hydrate those lips. There’s a slight tingly feeling when applied but rather than that traditional hot chilli tingling this is a nice soothing cool tingle.
TheBalm’s nude lipgloss doesn’t dry out your lips and actually increases circulation to the lip area, reducing fine lines and hydrating with folic acid, menthol (hence the cool tingle!) and Vitamin C.
The shine is natural and sheer so you won’t be confused with a disco ball and the last is really impressive!
This one will come down to personal preference a bit. If you hate tingling sensations or plumping in your glosses maybe opt for the Benefit. I however love TheBalm’s. It keeps my lips plump, hydrated and colourful with zero hair in mouth disease (never wear lipgloss on a windy day with your hair out!) and a great natural sheen.
