Pricey vs Priceline: Body Oils

Pricey: Go-To Skincare – Exceptionoil – $49.95

I nabbed some of this baby up as soon as I saw Zoë Foster announce a pre-sale of her new line. I have fallen in love with it. When I first pulled it out of the mail box it was really liquid and as someone who hadn’t used a body oil before let’s just say it got messy. Since then though it’s hardened and is such a great consistency now. It smells devine and soaks up super quick – read, no walking around the house careful not to make contact with anything.

Packed with 100% natural oils and butters you can use it head-to-toe!

Priceline: Palmer’s – Moisturising Body Oil – $10.75

I grabbed a bottle of the Palmer’s body oil to compare it to the Go-To and see if it could match it’s pricier counterpart. This one doesn’t harden at all so I had to apply in the bathroom (I’m a bit of a clutz, I do admit!). It smelt a tad weird, I like to call it the ‘baby prostitute’ smell (channeling a bit of Mean Girls there). Similar to a bad fake tan, it smells like a fake chocolate smell to cover up something else. It also took forever to sink in. It’s not all bad though it definitely moisturised in the end and that’s what I wanted!

The Verdict:

You may already know the answer. I know the Palmer’s is a fifth of the price, but I used five times as much to achieve a result that wasn’t as good. The Go-To smells better, works better and lasts longer. Definitely a recommended splurge on this one!
