Pricey vs Priceline: Foundation

by Madeleine Borgersen

Your foundation is a staple which means two things; you need it to be good and you need it to be reasonably priced as chances are you’ll be repurchasing this product more than anything else.

Pricey vs Priceline: Foundation

We think we’ve nabbed up two of the best! Both are amazing liquid foundations with great coverage and staying power. Here they are!

1. Pricey – NARS – Sheer Glow – $68

I love SG. It’s one of those foundations I could just wear every day. It has great coverage a lovely dewy finish and comes in my winter and summer colours straight off of the shelf. The price tag can get a bit steep however and when you’re paying that much it’s annoyingly awkward draining every last drop from the bottle. I swear I lose 1/4 of it at the end.

2. Priceline – Maybelline – FitMe – $18.95

I hadn’t purchased any chemist bought foundation in years. With an allergy to Titanium Dioxide – a key ingredient in most foundations boasting SPF, I had to be really careful about the quantity of TD in the foundation I was using, less I turn into a swollen swamp monster for weeks on end. I’m so glad I gave this a whirl. It’s got super coverage and a really nice finish, albeit not quite as dewy as the Nars. I grabbed 120 off of the supermarket shelf and just like the can of nesquik in the trolley beside it, it has brought be a lot of happiness.

The Verdict:

I still love SG and will continue to buy it but maybe keeping both around and cutting down my need to use SG everyday will be a more economical option. I also think with the FitMe being a more matte finish it is perfect for heavier night looks and the cooler months!

What’s your favourite liquid foundation? Have you tried either of these ones?

Bobbi Brown’s long wear even finish foundation is by far my favourite that I’ve tried in both drugstore and high end foundations ☺️ Definitely want to give NARS a try though! X
