The NARS comes in four main shades, Orgasm, Super Orgasm, Laguna and Copacabana. The Copacabana would be the closest match to the Revlon I’ve tested as a comparison in terms of colour but all have the same effect of bring a glowy, luminance to the skin. It’s a gorgeous fine-milled glitter that gives a subtle glow perfect for anyone that isn’t totally sold on looking like a Christmas Tree just yet (I personally am!)
I wasn’t expecting too much from this one and boy was I wrong. It, just like the NARS, adds a gorgeous glow when mixed with any of my liquid foundations or apply a little to the skin as a primer before adding a bb cream or powder foundation to brighten it up!
The Revlon range also comes in four shades; Bare, Bronze, Peach and Pink so you can choose your chosen glow just like the NARS range. Bronze for summer maybe and bare for those that like a more subtle glow. I’ve used the Pink for my review today.
I honestly have to go with the Revlon on this one. The patch test lasted a lot longer on the Revlon and the NARS seemed to highlight my pores and wrinkles more so than the Revlon, which I was surprised by as I don’t have that noticeable pores usually. So a definite factor to consider if pore size is a concern for you!
Just beware that this is an illuminator – it is glowy and shiny! I personally love this but it might not be right for everyone. Remember to use the tiniest amount, especially with the Revlon as it really goes far! I use a tiny (half a pea size!) amount mixed into my foundation or tinted moisturiser/bb and it’s plenty!
