We’re tackling another biggie this week for Pricey vs Priceline – Mascara.
Many people stick to their one holy grail mascara. Some use cheapies, others more high-end. Both ranges have good, ok and awful options and of course it depends on your natural lashes and the look you’re after. Today I’m comparing these two based on wanting a large impact. I want black, long, voluminous lashes (that don’t look clumpy!)
I was put onto this mascara after my Top Mascara’s post by @kirstiefitzgerald. I’m glad she told me about it! It’s a definite contender for Lancome’s Hypnose Drama in my books and probably my new favourite. It comes in 3 types, length, volume or – the one I purchased – length and volume (combined).
It does an amazing job and doesn’t clump at all. A definite must for anyone with short, stubby, blond excuses for eyelashes like myself.
A relatively new mascara to the priceline/supermarket scene it’s probably the best mascara I’ve seen in this price range for a long time. Again it definitely packs a punch in the volume stakes. It lengthens and doesn’t clump same as it’s match this week.
So they’re very similar but one does win out. This week it would have to be the pricey option. The reason is when I did eye to eye beside each other –
- You needed to apply more of the Maybelline to get the same result as one or two coats of Eyes to Kill (hence I think you’ll use it up quicker and might even spend more in the long run?)
- It wasn’t as lengthening. The Eyes to Kill definitely made the lashes appear far longer.
I guess it’s up to the user though, if you have longer lashes already (firstly, damn you!) I’d go for the Maybelline however if you’re a avid Mascara user, save up for the Giorgio.
