Skin School: Hyaluronic Acid

by Madeleine Borgersen

Hyaluronic is the ant of the skincare world. Able to attract and retain more than a thousand times it’s weight in water it’s super hydrating!

Skin School: Hyaluronic Acid

Applied onto the skin Hyaluronic Acid is a fantastic ingredient to hydrate and smooth. Hyaluronic Acid is also a popular ingredient in injectables such as Restylane and Juvéderm. Hyaluronic Acid is now the more popular choice (over collagen) and boosting the skin’s suppleness. Injected into the skin it’s a fantastic anti-ager, replumping the skin and as it’s naturally occurring in your body the risk of adverse reaction is a lot less than a collagen injection.

Acting like a sponge, HA (cause we’re on abbreviated terms now) swells with water filling your skin making it plumper and younger looking.
