Pricey vs Priceline: Exfoliating Powder

by Madeleine Borgersen

Exfoliating powders are fantastic for deep cleaning the skin, removing dead skin cells, unclogging pores and allowing your moisturiser or serum in to do it’s handy work. Simply mix a smidge of these powders with water to transform them into a soothing yet effective exfoliator.

Pricey vs Priceline: Exfoliating Powder

Pricey: Ella Bache – REVEALING FRUIT ENZYME EXFOLIANT – $64

The Ella Bache skincare range is gorgeous. It’s been around for years and is always a solid staple line that offers fantastic ingredients and definite results.

Their exfoliating powder is no different. It gives you the smoothness and radiance of microdermabrasion with zero stress to the skin.

Natural exfoliators are key when it comes to Ella Bache’s powder exfoliator, such as Papaya fruit enzyme, pineapple extract and salicyclic acid to break down any dead skin cells and remove this dull layer from the skin.

Perfect for those with sensitive skin, the Ella Bache Exfoliating Powder includes rice bran, oat bran and licorice extract to soothe the skin and clarify the complexion.

Priceline: Indeed Laboratories – Facial Powdered Exfoliator – $34.99

Another enzyme powered exfoliating powder the Indeed Laboratories Exfoliating Powder turns your skin from dull to diva.

Bamboo extract, rice bran, pineapple enzyme and Okinawa red algae as well as hyaluronic acid are this brand’s secret weapons to reveal softer and smoother skin minus any hard abrasives.

The Verdict:

The Indeed Laboratories wins by a landslide this week. Not only is it almost half the price – it works!

As you can see above many of the ingredients are shared between these two brands. I personally love the texture of the Indeed Laboratories exfoliating powder as well as the addition of the Okinawa red algae.

Red algae is fantastic for locking moisture back into the skin. So for those of you that find exfoliating can leave you feeling dry and tight. We’ve found the exfoliator for you!

I’m a huge fan of the Indeed Labs! I’ve only tried the Dermalogica one and a Karpati one in the past but neither are as satisfying (or fun) to use. I adore the texture of the Indeed Labs.

I’m a big fan of the Ella Bache powder, but given I can get two Indeed Labs for one EB, I just might have to give it a go when I run out of EB!
