Pricey vs Priceline: Eye Serums

by Madeleine Borgersen

So we all know what serums are (and if you don’t check out the in’s and out’s of serums!) Eye serums are a specially made serum for the sensitive and delicate eye area, often boasting powerful ingredients that directly target issues like fine lines, sagging and dark circles. Here are our Pricey and Priceline picks!

Pricey vs Priceline: Eye Serums

Pricey: By Terry – Clarte de Rose Forming Radiant-Lift Eye Serum – $108

By Terry’s Radiant-Lift Eye Serum is a soft, creamy serum that smells of the brands signature rose petals it’s an amazing way to begin and end your day. It definitely get’s results in terms of re-plumping any fine lines and sunken skin. I also found it worked really well for my dark circles.

Infused with renewing natural extracts that correct signs of ageing: puffiness, dark circles, slackening and fine lines. Leaving the skin around the eye area smoothed, puffiness diminished and dark-circles erased.

Priceline: Bioelixia – Multi-Action Eye Serum – $39.95

The Bioelixia is more of a gel consistency with a more clinical smell that some will definitely prefer, others not. Don’t be put off by the word clinical however as this one punches a tonne of natural ingredients including soothing chamomile and aloe vera. This aloe vera is what I believe gives the BioElixia Eye Serum a lovely cooling sensation. Used nightly I noticed the same great tightening of the eye area and replumping of my eye bags that can, when I’m not getting enough sleep or h2o appear quite saggy.

The verdict:

I love the By Terry’s gorgeous rich texture and smell, however its not quite enough to make me pay almost three times more. I noticed the same overall results with the BioElixia and personally really love the cooling effect the product has especially straight out of a warm shower.

Have you used an eye serum before? If so what’s your pick?

  1. I’ve never used one, but my eye area is definitely my problem area!!! Not enough sleep perhaps being the main cause!!! Still looking for a good eye cream/serum that works for me!

    • Yeah there’s so many different types out there! They do take time to show results unfortunately so its not like you can just swatch and see at a counter, but maybe go off reviews and your preference of texture?
