Pricey vs Priceline: Hydrating Moisturiser

by Madeleine Borgersen

With that Summer heat bearing down in the south and crazy cold temps in the north it’s the time of year you need a really hydrating moisturiser added to your routine. We’ve tested two hydro-faves to see if it’s better to splurge or save!

Pricey vs Priceline: Hydrating Moisturiser

Pricey: Kiehl’s – Ultra Facial Oil Free Gel – $36

The perfect hydrating moisturiser for all climates, Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil Free Gel uses antarcticine to smooth and protect the skin from extremely cold temperatures allowing the skin to retain existing water reserves. It also contains an ingredient called Imperata Cylindrica which is a plant most commonly found in the Australian desert. It’s roots are high in potassium which is super hydrating (giving the plant the ability to survive in the driest of conditions).

The Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Gel also packs Vitamin E for an extra antioxidant and moisturising boost with a mild scent and cucumber for a refreshening effect alongside it’s long lasting hydration.

Great to see that Neutrogena won your verdict on this one! I’m a big fan of “drugstore” products so it’s nice to prove that they can be just as good, if not in some cases, better than their luxe counterparts! Great comparison!

I really enjoy Neutrogena products- I don’t think I’ve ever tried anything from their range I’ve disliked (and I’ve tried lots). Haven’t tried this particular product though.
