Pricey vs Priceline: Lip Balm

by Madeleine Borgersen

Are your lips in need of some pampering but not sure where to start? Here are our Pricey vs Priceline picks for a pucker perfect lip balm.

Pricey vs Priceline: Lip Balm

Pricey: Elizabeth Arden –Eight Hour Cream Nourishing Lip Balm with Sunscreens – $24.99

The gorgeous lip balm of the Eight Hour family. The Elizabeth Arden Nourishing Lip balm uses a perfect mix of vitamins, minerals, oils and fatty acids to moisturise and protect your lips from dryness, flakiness and sun damage.

The Elizabeth Arden Nourishing Lip Balm soothes as soon as you put it on. A thicker, rich balm in a hygienic and easy to use tube make it the perfect purse staple.

Priceline: Burt’s Bees – Hydrating Lip Balm with Coconut & Pear – $6.99

The Burt’s Bees Lip balm is delicious. With vitamin-rich Pear and super hydrating coconut oil.

Use this one daily to keep lips smooth, hydrated and smelling amazing.

The Verdict:

I’m addicted to both of these lip balms for different reasons. The Elizabeth Arden is perfect before bed or after a shower to plump and moisturise those lips and sore any dry or sensitive skin. It’s also great to protect those puckers from sun damage, yep your lips can get sunburnt!

The Burt’s Bees is a great top me up throughout the day and definitely smashes any other product in this price point out of the water. It smells fantastic and nourishes the lips especially in the cooler months.

If you can only get one? Go the Elizabeth Arden. Then when you get paid next, grab one of the Burt’s Bees too!

Oh love this series, Madeleine. I can’t believe I only just found your blog but better late than never! Loving your blog layout and your posts. I have tried the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream and I did like it. Like you say, I would go for Elizabeth Arden first then if I can, get the Burt’s Bees too! x
