Top Picks To Fade Dark Spots

by Madeleine Borgersen

I’ve had dark spots or pigmentation on the tops of my cheeks since my early twenties.

Signs of too many days out in the sun without enough sunscreen on my chubby cheeks!

Here’s a few products that can help fade these spots if you’re looking for a less painful alternative to laser.

Top Picks To Fade Dark Spots

Kiehl’s – Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution – $67

A great serum with concentrated Vitamin C — the active ingredient that is going to drastically reduce your dark spots and pigmentation.

What I love about this one is that it not only reduces current dark spots but also prevents further pigmentation in the future!

Ella Bache – Radiance C Ampoules – $189

With this one you actually mix a powder and liquid together to activate the Vitamin C. This ensures that its active when your using it and helps to achieve the best results.

You receive three small vials (again to help ensure the active C). I used this every night for a month and noticed a definite reduction!

Clinique – Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector – $62

Another great pick to fade current dark spots! It’s a lower dose however so a great choice for anyone with mild pigmentation. If you’re looking to fade some more serious sun damage opt for the Kiehl’s or Ella Bache first.

L’Oreal – Youth Code Luminosity Correcting Serum – $27

A great pick for the lower price range! It will fade your dark spots over time but again it’s a lesser dose of active Vitamin C so will take a longer time to see results over the first two products.

One thing to remember when using any of these products (and also when not) is to wear sunscreen! Every day! (Yes, even in winter!) It’s super super important to protect from further damage and skin cancer.

Do you suffer from pigmentation or sun damage? What’s your pick on reducing this?
