Remove any dry, flaky skin with a chemical or physical exfoliator 2-3 times a week. This will give you smooth, supple makeup ready skin – a perfect base that won’t flake off part way through the day.
Slap on a serum to add some extra antioxidants and vitamins to your newly refreshed skin. Vitamin C is an awesome ingredient to include in your serum as it has skin smoothing properties and also combats any sun damage.
To prevent dryness and flakiness and plump up your skin before your makeup application, give your skin some hydration. If you have drier skin a good day moisturiser (find one with some SPF in there too!) or if you find a moisturiser is a bit too much day and night for your particular skin type try a hydrating toner.
Create a smooth barrier over your face protecting your skin’s newly vitamin moisture levels and giving you a perfectly smooth base with a good primer.
A silicon based primer will prevent your foundation slipping away in the oilier T-zone of your face and also help to visually minimise pores and even out skin tone.
