Egg’s offer amazing nutrients for your skin and hair. The whites are perfect for structural rebuilding, high in Vitamin A and collagen, perfect for tightening and firming the skin. The protein rich yolks offer fantastic fats to hydrate dry or acne prone skin.

Here are a few favourite egg-based beauty recipes to try for yourself!

1. The Egg White Anti-Ager

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

With egg white to firm up and tighten the skin, honey as a natural anti-bacterial and skin plumper and lemon to reduce age spots this natural mask will rejuvenate that skin in no time.

2. Protein Hair Treatment

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 an avocado

Egg yolk for protein and moisture and an extra hit of fats from the avocado (if you’d rather eat the avo you can substitute this for 2 tablespoons of olive oil!).

Mash the ingredients together, apply to your hair (focusing on the dryer ends) and leave for 15-20 minutes. Rinse out, shampoo like normal and marvel at your soft, de-frizzed hair for days.

3. Hydrating Yolk Mask

  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 1 Tsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Pinch Tumeric

Great for dry skin the fat filled egg yolk will bring your skin hydration and restructuring Vitamin A. The tumeric is a natural skin brightener and the olive oil will be soaked up by the skin promoting plumpness.

4. Egg Yolk Super Cleanser

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp olive oil

Swap out the white from the first recipe for a yolk and the lemon juice for olive oil and you have yourself a super mask with the cleansing power of honey mixed with the hydrating and plumping power of the egg yolk.

5. Yoghurt Resurfacer Mask

  • 3 tbsp Yoghurt
  • 1 Egg White

Beat the egg white until frothy and add in your yoghurt. A natural source of lactic acid it’s the perfect cleanser and resurfacer for combination skin.

6. Egg White Pore Minimizer

  • 1 Egg White
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice

Perfect for oily skinned lasses or those noticing larger pores this mask will reduce oil buildup, tighten the skin and minimise those pores whilst preventing any acne breakouts to boot.

Have you ever tried a natural egg mask? Which one will you be trying this Easter?
