Top Hair Treatments

Top Hair Treatments

Hair treatments are one of the most important things you can spend your money on. Honestly you’re better to buy cheaper shampoo and conditioner and a top treatment than forking out for the premium shampoo and conditioner only. Especially if you have coloured or damaged locks.

Here are my top favourites of the moment!

1. Bumble & Bumble – Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil – $58

Hair oils and serums are amazing. Unlike most treatments they’re leave in solutions to your hair breakage woes. Moroccanoil is the big name when it comes to oil and for good reason. It’s a fantastic oil. However if you have finer hair or personally think that your hair looks a little greasy after using argan oils try this one. It’s a lighter weight formula that still packs the same follicle sealing punch!

2. Philip Kingsley – Elasticizer Pre-Shampoo Treatment – $55

Pre-Shampoo treatments were all the rage in 2013. The idea behind them is actually pretty cool. So cleansing your hair, just like any form of cleaning, strips the hair and puts it under stress. So while it’s well and good that we use a conditioner afterwards, for anyone with dry, brittle hair, using a pre-shampoo treatment can protect your hair for what’s about to come and make sure you’re not undoing all your hard work with other oils and treatments. Simply wet your hair, place this baby in for 30 minutes or so (or I’ve even done the night before) and then follow your routine as normal.

3. Shu Uemura – Art of Hair Ultimate Remedy Masque – $79

This baby is a god-send! It’s a great alternative to conditioner if your hair is in dyer need of repair! Even alternate between this one wash and a moisturising conditioner for the other wash and marvel at your new hair’s glory!

4. Tigi – Reborn Repariative Nocturnal Therapy – $68

I was able to try this new product of Tigi’s last night. Firstly, I love that you can use this on dry hair. I prefer to use my treatments for a longer period of time so the fact that I don’t have to wash my hair, towel dry, put the treatment in and then an hour or so later get back into the shower and do the whole process again is a major plus for me.

I knew that I’d be washing my hair today (I personally only wash my hair every fourth day after going from every day back in school, much better hair overall!) so last night I grabbed the treatment and read the back, stoked that I didn’t have to get my hair wet I had a quick shower with my hair tied up out of the way.

I then placed the treatment through my mid-lengths and ends only. Tied it up in a bun and continued with my night.

This morning I even went out with the treatment still in my hair for breakfast! So it’s not very noticeable. When I washed out the treatment I immediately noticed a difference. My hair feels silky and smooth. I towel dried and my hair is like new. An amazing new product ready for your winter hair worries!
