Book Shelf: April Reads

Book Shelf: April Reads

I love to read! I should spoil myself more with some solid reading sessions but alas I’ll take what I can get.

I often juggle two or three books at the one time usually one fiction and one nonfiction. Here’s the picks that are on my kindle (iPad app) at the moment!

Fiction: Shadow & Bone: The Grisha

I just finished this one this week. I loved it! As a big fan of fantasy novels (Huge Harry Potter fan!) it was great to sink into a new series. It follows the story of Alina, an orphan who discovers she is a Grisha – a person who is able to control an element. It is a really great book to escape with for anyone that’s a fan of fantasy worlds! Can’t wait to get stuck into the second in the series.

Non-Fiction: Growth Hacker Marketing

I’m learning so much from this book. I’m currently two-thirds of the way through and it’s been great so far. It’s not a super long one, so great for anyone with a shorter attention span (like myself some days!). It outlines the ways today’s companies are using brains over budget to get their products into the market. Great for any entrepreneurs or marketing junkies.

Bio: Coal to Diamonds – Beth Ditto

I’m only starting this bio on Gossip lead singer, Beth Ditto. I saw Beth perform about 6 or 7 years ago and was blown away. She is the most talented, fascinating person and I cannot wait to finish this baby!
