9 Great Reads You Won’t Be Able To Put Down

In need of a new page turner and nothing’s taking your fancy in the new release lists? Here’s some of our favourite classics to fill up your reading lists.

10 Classic Reads You Won't Be Able To Put Down

1. Veronika Decides to Die – Paolo Coehlo

One of my favourites and actually my first read from Paolo Coehlo. The story revolves around suicidal lead, Veronika who fails on her suicide attempt and awakens in a Slovenian rehab hospital, Villete, to only be told she has done irreversible damage and now has but three days left to live.

The rest of the novel focuses around her and her relationships with other patients in Villete and the idea of collective madness being actually quite sane. It gives a fresh breath to the value of life and with such a sad title is actual a very positive read.

I loved the Secret History – have you read her latest “The Goldfinch”? It’s a huge tome, a little over indulgent but I just loved it.
