App of The Week: Headspace

by Madeleine Borgersen

Ever thought you could benefit from meditation if only you knew how to do it? Download Headspace, it’s a new app that teaches you how to meditate. It’s as simple and as effective as that.

App of The Week: Headspace

Headspace is a new app that offers a range of meditations for beginners, creatives, stress-heads and the like.

You can start with their free Take10 programme that offers ten, ten minute introductory meditations to get you in the groove. They start with the usual focusing on your surroundings, your breathing and your body.

The voice is really calming which is refreshing after trying a few other apps in the same genre.

Headspace has a buddy system where you can invite other friends to join you on your meditative journey and encourage others to stick with it.

Subscriptions to the full Headspace library are $12.95/month for a month-to-month payment or cheaper for annual payments.
