1. Don’t Leave it Open
The first and most important tip to manage your inbox is to only check your inbox at set times during the day. I check it once in the morning, once after lunch and once before I leave the office.
Not only is closing down your email in between these times less distracting throughout the day but it also means that when you’re answering emails you’re in that zone. You’ll sort emails quicker and you’ll also reply more effectively.
This goes for your phone too. Turn off the notifications and only download emails when you plan to. There’s nothing worse than switching off for the day and then a sea of emails comes in with your phone beeping and buzzing constantly.
